Negurakori Schools

If you use the Guard action as a Free Action in the Air, Void, or Water Stances, the character you are guarding gains +5 to their Armor Target Number instead of +10. When you spend a Void Point to Boost a test or contest, you may spend an additional Void Point. If you do, gain +1k1 to that test or contest. (this stacks).
In defense of their charges, a Wamori Guardian stands as firm as oak.

Rank 2 - A Dark Canopy
At the start of your turns you may select a mark within 30'. When your mark is the target of a spell or casts a spell, you may increase or decrease the Target Number of the Spellcasting test by 5. When you are the target of a spell, you may increase or decrease the Target Number of the Spellcasting test by 5.
The kami flow like sap through the world. Within the reach of a Guardian's influence, that flow may be altered.

Rank 3 - My Leaves Fall
You may attack as a simple action when attacking with a [Samurai] weapon.
A Guardian's strike is as inevitable as the autumn cold.

Rank 4 - One Tree Among Thousands
Each Readying Phase, if at least one other character spent a Void Point this round, you may activate this technique and gain a Temporary Void Point. The Temporary Void Point lasts until the end of the encounter. You may activate this technique only two times per encounter.
In the thick of battle, a skilled Guardian moves in sympathy with their comrades, both in the World and in the Void.

Rank 5 - The Roots Entwine
You are limited to two Standard Void Point Uses each round instead of the typical limit of one. Whenever you spend a Void Point, you gain a Temporary Void Point. This Temporary Void Point lasts until the the start of the Readying Phase.
The greatest of Guardians are able to tap into a deep well of power, like roots drawing from an underground pool.

Wamori Artisan

[Geinin]
Bonus Attribute: Awareness
School Skills: Calligraphy, Etiquette, Sincerity, Any two Artisan skills, Any one Lore skill, Any one courtly or military skill.
Emphasis: Void Recovery (Meditation)
Honor: 4.5
Outfit: Daishō, Fine Clothes, Tools for each chosen Artisan skill, Personal Effects, 5 Ryō.

Rank 1 - The Forest's Mysteries
When you gain this technique, choose any one Artisan skill. When you spend a Void Point to Boost a test using that skill, you gain +1k1 (this stacks).
For hundreds of years, the Wamori Artisans have drawn inspiration from the vast forests of their homeland. Their work is proof that there is always more to learn.

Rank 2 - Speak to the Heart
Once per month, you may test your chosen Artisan skill against Target Number 15 and present a new piece of art you have created with that Artisan skill. For every point you exceed this target number, you gain 1 Temporary XP that you may only use to buy the Allies advantage. When buying the Allies advantage in this way, the devotion may not be purchased higher than 2. When buying the Allies advantage in this way, you may only purchase it targeting characters present. The advantages you buy in this way last for X weeks, where X is your School Rank.
The best works of art bypass the senses to touch the spirit directly, for true beauty is felt, not seen.

Rank 3 - The Art of Language
When you would test a Social skill, you may choose to gain +Xk0, where X is your chosen Artisan skill's rank, and lose -Yk0, where Y is your ranks in the tested Social skill. The GM may limit the use of this technique if the targets of the social roll have little appreciation for art, or for your specific art form.
Artists seldom speak with such passion as they show when discussing the finer points of their art.

Rank 4 - Nourish the Soul
Once per day, you may present a piece of art you have created for at least 15 minutes. If you do, test your chosen Artisan skill against Target Number 30. If you are successful, all witnesses to the presentation regain one Void Point.
Great art is universal, and touches on the truth at the heart of everything. Through it, so too may the observer touch that truth.

Rank 5 - Centerpiece
While in court, and while a piece of art you have created is being presented, you may activate this technique. If you do, all witnesses to the presentation of your choosing recover one Void Point. If you witness the presentation (even if you are the presenter) you regain an additional Void Point. Each character can only benefit from this technique only once per day. (You may activate this technique as often as you like, but it will only affect characters who were previously unaffected.)
For the most skilled Artisans, one perfect work may say as much as a thousand other lesser examples.

Nareha Scholar

[Miyabito]
Bonus Attribute: Intelligence
School Skills: Courtier, Etiquette, Governance, Lore: Theology, Meditation, Sincerity, any one Lore skill.
Emphasis: Courtesy (Etiquette)
Honor: 6.5
Outfit: Calligraphy set, Daishō, Fine clothing, Personal Effects, 5 Ryō.

Rank 1 - History is My Shield
When testing any Lore skill, gain a Free Raise. When you spend a Void Point to Boost an Etiquette roll, gain +2k0 (this stacks).
A Nareha Scholar knows better than anyone the wisdom of the past.

Rank 2 - A Pattern Reveals Itself
While in court, you may spend a full day observing (GM's discretion). If you do, test Lore:History/Perception against Target Number 20. If you are successful, gain +2k0 to all Social skill Tests and Contests in the court for the next two days. At the end of the two days, if you are still in the same court, you may test Lore:History/Perception against Target Number 20. If you are successful, extend the effect for another two days. (You may continue extending this effect indefinitely so long as you remain in the court and continue to pass the test).
Everything that has happened will happen again. The trick is to learn to see it coming.

Rank 3 - Keeper of Tradition
You gain +X to all Social skill Tests and Contests you make, where X is your Governance skill rank. You may converse with another character for an hour. If you do, test Governance/Intelligence against Target Number 25. If you are successful, the targeted character gains +X to all their Social skill Tests and Contests for the next two days, where X is your Governance skill ranks. Using this technique on a character more than once per two day period resets the duration and potency of the effect (it does not stack, but if your governance skill changed between uses, it uses the new value).
Guided by a Scholar's advice, even a boor may become a bastion of tradition.

Rank 4 - An Obscure Fact
If you would fail a Social skill Contest as the target, you may activate this technique. If you do, you may retest your skill using Intelligence rather than the original Attribute, keeping the higher of the two rolls (even if the original attribute was intelligence). You may activate this technique only once per contest.
When defending one's point, it helps to know more than the person challenging it.

Rank 5 - A Living Library
When testing any Lore skill, gain +5k0.
What the greatest of Scholars have read once, they will remember forever.

Itsumaru Collector

[Miyabito]
Bonus Attribute: Intelligence
School Skills: Calligraphy, Commerce, Courtier, Etiquette, Investigation, Sleight of Hand, Any one skill.
Emphasis: Larceny (Slight of Hand)
Honor: 2.5
Outfit: Daishō, Fine clothing, Traveling clothes, Any one weapon, Personal Effects, 5 Ryō.

Rank 1 - The Forest's Dark Floor
You do not lose honor for bribery, coercion, forgery, stealth, or theft in direct service to your clan. When testing or contesting any [Social] skill, gain +X, where X is your ranks in Sleight of Hand. When testing Investigation to search for or question people about a specific object you're familiar with, you may choose a [Lore] skill relevant to that object (GM's discretion). If you do, gain +Xk0 to the test, where X is your ranks in that [Lore] skill.
The Collectors have one goal: to procure whatever it is the Neguakori have sent them to fetch.

Rank 2 - The Path Over the Vines
When testing or contesting Athletics or Stealth to enter or exit a home or estate, gain one Free Raise. When testing or contesting Athletics or Stealth within a home or estate, if you have previously been allowed to explore the grounds unhindered (such as being a guest), gain one Free Raise.
Like an ever growing creeper, a Collector has little trouble silently scaling the occasional wall.

Rank 3 - Ivy Strangles the Oak
While bribing or coercing a character, you may use Intelligence instead of the appropriate attribute or ring for any skill contest expressly relevant to the bribe or coercion. While a character is being bribed or coerced by you, you may have them use their Intelligence instead of the appropriate attribute or ring for any skill contest expressly relevant to the bribe or coercion.
In the grip of a Collector's words, many things begin to appear reasonable.

Rank 4 - To See Beneath the Leaves
When testing or contesting Sleight of Hand, and when testing or contesting Investigation for the purpose of identifying physical traps, defenses, or guards, gain a free Raise. When you win an Investigation contest against another person, you may also learn that person's ranks in Investigation, or the identity of and their ranks in their highest [Weapon] skill.
Rare is the treasure left unguarded. Rarer still, the Collector who cannot find a path to his ultimate goal regardless.

Rank 5 - The Forest in Ashes
One day after a successful theft of an important item (GM's discretion), you may spend a Void Point. If you do, the victim of the theft becomes your Mark for one month. When your mark is reminded of the object you stole from them, they suffer a malus of -5k2 to all non-military tests and contests until they next rest. After being reminded of the object, they may spend 2 hours alone or spend two Void Points. If they do, they become immune to the malus from this technique until they next rest.
The shock of vaults made barren without sign or sound of the perpetrator can only foster profound unease.

Itsumaru Sage

[Onmyōji]
Bonus Attribute: Intelligence
School Skills: Calligraphy, Lore: Theology, Medicine, Meditation, Spellcraft, Any one Lore skill, Any one Courtly skill.
Emphasis: Cipher (Calligraphy)
Honor: 4.5
Outfit: Daishō, Robes, Scroll satchel, Any one weapon, Personal Effects, 5 Ryō.
Elemental Affinity: None

Soul of the Elements
When you learn this technique, choose a spell. Learn the chosen spell and gain Elemental Affinity in its element. When casting a spell that benefits from your Elemental Affinity, you gain a Free Raise to the Spellcasting test.

You may not learn spells that do not benefit from your Elemental Affinity except at even ranks.
The Sages of the Itsumaru are powerful specialists, each a master of a particular vein of magic equal to few others.

Dojo

Wamori Guardian

Venerable Pine Dojo

Requirements: Air 3, Defense 3

Rank 1 - Branches like Bridges
You may use the Guard action as a Free Action. If you use the Guard action as a Free Action in the Air, Void, or Water Stances, the character you are guarding gains +5 to their Armor Target Number instead of +10. When you Deflect, the effect lasts one additional round, and any characters you are guarding benefit from the increase to ATN. (This increase to ATN is still not a technique bonus)
Those Wamori dedicated entirely to the defense of their charges guard as much with the spirit as with the flesh.

Rank 2 - Bark like Walls
When you Deflect, the ATN gained is +X instead of +10, where X is 10 + your School Rank + your Air Ring. (This increase to ATN is still not a technique bonus)
Few defenses can compare to the bastion presented by a trained Guardian in touch with the Void.

Itsumaru Collector

Solitary Songbird Dojo

Requirements: Calligraphy 3, Courtier 3, Intelligence 4

Rank 2 - A Hundred Notes with which to Sing
When encoding a message with Cryptography and determining its maximum result value, increase that maximum by 30. When you create a cryptogram, you may choose up to X characters, where X is your school rank. If you do, those characters automatically understand a message is encoded, they automatically succeed any test to decode the message, and the decoding takes no time.

When speaking, you may activate this technique. If you do, choose a message to encode in your speech, then test Courtier(Control)/Intelligence against Target Number 5 and note the amount by which it exceeded the target number. This works as a typical Cryptography test except the message is spoken verbally instead of written, it takes no time to decode, and anyone within earshot may attempt to decode your message with Courtier/Intelligence, and the test to encode uses the result of the Courtier test instead of a Calligraphy test. (This verbal encoding works with all other bonuses to Cryptography, and you may use the Cryptography maneuvers)
The birds of the forest speak volumes, but few are those who understand their song. A skilled Collector may follow their example, hiding their true message within countless pretty words.

Rank 4 - Ten Thousand Songs with which to Speak
When encoding a message with Cryptography and determining its maximum result value, increase that maximum by 10 (This stacks). When contesting any [Social] or [Merchant] skill using Willpower, gain +1k1. You may call the Trap Cryptography maneuver for 2 fewer raises.
Mere obfuscation is simple. The true master hides the truth behind layers of deception, each more believable than the last.

Itsumaru Sage

Path of Masters

Requirements: Spellcraft 5, at least one Ring at 4

Rank 2 - Separation is an Illusion
You may not cast spells unless they are Void spells or they benefit from your Elemental Affinity.

As a Complex Action, you may exhaust two spell slots of any element to recover one Void spell slot.
Then truly, our arts are the same.
