Emphasis: Swimming (Athletics) or Mercantile (Commerce)
Honor: 3.5
Outfit: Aiguchi, Daishō, Light Armor, Sturdy Clothes, any two Small or Medium melee weapons, Personal Effects, 10 Ryō.

Rank 1 - The Fury of the Sea
You suffer no maluses for rough or uneven terrain. You do not lose Glory or Honor when using Improvised or [Cheap] weapons in combat. You suffer no maluses for wielding two weapons if at least one of them is [Cheap]. Hand Weapons gain [Samurai] for you. Gain +1k0 to all attack tests.
Those favored by Murakimizu embrace a wild and tumultuous style.

Rank 2 - The Maelstrom’s Grip
When you hit an opponent in melee, that opponent suffers a malus of -5 to his Armor Target Number for your attacks, for a duration of 2 rounds. Each application of this technique refreshes the duration of the cumulative malus, which stacks a number of times equal to your School Rank.
A Marine’s assault is as difficult to escape as a whirlpool.

Rank 3 - The Rising Tide
You may attack as a simple action when attacking with a [Samurai] weapon.
To become as Water is to strike from all directions, ceaselessly.

Rank 4 - The Great Wave
If on your turn you move a distance of at least 5 feet, this Technique activates. While this Technique is active, gain +10 to your Armor Target Number until the beginning of your next turn. Before making any attack on your turn, you may choose to deactivate this Technique in order to gain 2 Free Raises on that attack; these Free Raises may only be used for the Knockdown Maneuver.
The wave that merely rocks ships at sea will devastate the shore.

Rank 5 - Crash Upon the Shore
As a Free Action you may activate this Technique by spending a Void Point. For the remainder of your turn, gain a +0kX bonus to your damage rolls, where X is equal to your Strength. Attacks against a target that is Prone gain an additional +0k2 bonus to damage rolls. Once per turn, if the weapon used to make a damage roll affected by this Technique is [Cheap], you may choose to destroy it after dealing wounds; if you do, regain one Void Point.
Even the sturdiest foes may be washed away.

Mijimaki Belligerent

School Skills: Athletics, Coercion, Commerce, Jujutsu, Sailing, Sleight of Hand. Weapon: Samurai or Kenjutsu and Shōjutsu
Emphasis: Improvised Weaponry (Jujutsu) or Ropes (Sailing)
Honor: 3.5
Outfit: Aiguchi, Daishō, Light Armor, Sturdy Clothes, any two Small or Medium melee weapons, Personal Effects, 4 Ryō.

Rank 1 - The Moray's Temper
Gain a +1k0 bonus on damage rolls with [Small] [Melee] weapons, and on contests to gain control of a grapple. Gain a +0k1 bonus on damage rolls with Improvised Weapons. You no longer suffer maluses from the Prone condition related to your Armor Target Number or to tests made to attack with [Small] [Melee] or [Jujutsu] weapons. [Small] and [Jujutsu] [Melee] weapons are [Samurai] weapons for you. [Large] weapons are not [Samurai] weapons for you.
Though the fangs are small, they lack only an excuse.

Rank 2 - Slippery as an Eel
Whenever you are the target of an attack, after the attack resolves, regardless of its outcome you may immediately become Prone as a Free Action. Additionally, whenever you call the Feint maneuver, if you succeed, you may activate this Technique. If you do, take a -5 malus to the bonus damage granted by Feint; gain a +5 bonus to your Armor Target Number until the beginning of your next turn. If you activate this Technique while Prone, the bonus to your Armor Target Number is instead +10.
Belligerents are easily roused, harder to pin down.

Rank 3 - Fangs Within Coils
You may attack as a simple action when attacking with a [Samurai] weapon.
Strike in a frenzy of thrashing motion, and open a multitude of wounds.

Rank 4 - Water Off My Back
While in a skirmish, ignore all effects of Exhaustion, Stun, and intoxication. While Incapacitated, you may take one Simple Action on your turn.
Nothing so refreshing as violence.

Rank 5 - The Moray Provoked
When making a melee attack test, you may spend a Void Point to activate this Technique. If you do, gain a +4k1 bonus to attack test and to the damage roll for this attack. If you activate this Technique while Prone, gain the bonus is instead +4k2.
A Belligerent's hot temper is best cooled in blood.
